The Aichi Prefectural Government, the City of Nagoya and the Nagoya Convention & Visitors Bureau have teamed up to strengthen the region’s appeal for MICE events, taking advantage of being selected as a “Global MICE City” by the Japan Tourism Agency in June 2013. In April 2015, the Aichi-Nagoya MICE Promotion Council was established with a wide range of MICE-related stakeholders in this region, in order to continue and strengthen efforts as a Global MICE City. Since then, we have participated domestic and international trade fairs and business meetings, hosted MICE seminars and MICE consultations, and worked together as one to attract MICE events to the region.
